FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

• I want a shoot with you! Now what?

  • Email me, fill out the contact form, call me! Let’s put you in the calendar. Weekday evenings (sunset or earlier) are a great time for family photos.

• I have little kids who never want to smile for photos, is that a problem?

  • We try our best to get smiles, we cannot control everyone and everything! Try not to put pressure on them, but if there are any bribes (toys, candy) you think would help, we use whatever we can to get the photos you want! In my experience, most kids who won’t smile for their parents will smile for me.

• What time of the day is best, especially with little ones?

  • I am to be flexible always, I know it is hard to schedule things like this especially with kids. The BEST time of day if it’s sunny is sunset or sunrise. If you need a different time of day we do try and make it happen but we will work with the elements however we can. Sometimes giving your young children an extra nap can help as well. If we get lucky and it’s a cloudy overcast day then anytime of day would work!

• I want a session with everyone in my family - do you do that? What’s it like?

  • Yes! It’s usually 1-2 hours and we do mini shoots for each family present, individual images of all the kids and a few group shots of different combinations! Basically, whatever photos you want, you get.

• I am having a baby! When is the best time for photos?

  • Expecting moms tend to like to take photos from 28-32 weeks. However, everyone knows themselves best! I think you are beautiful always, but you know what and how you like yourself and what you want.

• I just had a baby! When is the best time for photos?

  • You can do a shoot in the hospital up until about 4-6 weeks and then they are not newborns anymore! The newborn stage really is miraculous and you do not realize how much your kids will change even from day to day let alone week to week! Usually at about 2-3 weeks babies start sleeping a little better. However, my main goal is that you are comfortable and love your images so if you need time to recuperate after birth, contact me when YOU Feel ready.

  • Also, my newborn photo sessions are more “lifestyle” and usually in your home. I specialize in capturing moments between you and your kids and your new life.

  • Obviously if you need me for a Bris, this is done at 8 days of age. If you need Mohel recommendations I have worked with many amazing mohels!

  • Weekdays are best for newborn photos!

• What colors and patterns do you recommend? Any big no-no's?

  • Neutrals look best, adding layers too. My best advice would be to search on Pintrest for some different combinations of clothing but no LOUD prints or neon colors please! Also, remember your shoes will be seen sometimes! Often I suggest picking one color to use in different ways - if you want pink, someone can where pink pants and someone else a pink shirt. NAVY is the most popular color for photos!

• Do you sell your photos as stock images? 

  • No. However, If this is something that comes up in the future, I will ask you first.

• Do you do large scale events?

  • Yes! I do shoots for many non-profits and caterers every week: OU, AMIT, AIPAC, HILLEL, JNF, YACHAD, JQY… to name a few.

• Do you hire a team for weddings? What type of weddings do you shoot?

  • IF I am shooting your wedding it is a very special and unique occasion. Let’s have a conversation about your special day. I do hire a team as needed!! My goal is to be a BOUTIQUE wedding photographer and not a FACTORY Wedding Photography - so every shot and moment is just as special as YOU.

• I want to hire you for my bar/bat mitzvah! Can you tell me more about your process?

  • Bar and Bat Mitzvahs are soooo much fun.

  • I aim to get you a diverse gallery of portraits and then cover all of the party moments. I have different packages for your day, but my main goal is to cover it all. Some people also decide to book a pre-simcha portrait session before their event to relieve some of the stress of getting all of those moments. Let’s brainstorm and discuss exactly what you want and what you are looking for! Depending on the size of your event we would need 2 photographers and an assistant. Most of my packages include all of the edited images. ASK ME FOR SAMPLE GALLERIES.

• What’s your cancellation policy?

  • I require a 50% non-refundable deposit. If you need to reschedule, we can! But we must. Many of the times for photoshoots are very coveted and I want it to be fair game for everyone.

• What if it rains on the day of my shoot?

  • If it’s a simcha, we will move indoors. If it’s a family shoot, we try to reschedule. But we can also get great posed, candid and lifestyle shots in side your home!

• What’s the differences in your packages - session fee or all inclusive?

  • I aim to cater to your needs. Some people want to choose images after, some know they are going to want all of them before.

• What if I just want one photo?

  • You can always pay a session fee and then buy per image after. Keep in mind that Digital Images are more valuable than physical prints, because you can print any size, anytime, again and again.

• Can I buy products from you?

  • Yes! I offer a range of high end albums, metals and prints.

• Do you pose us? Help us look our best?

  • I help pose you in the best way possible. Some people have certain angles of themselves they know and like, be sure to let me know (I will ask too)

• What if I don’t want any posing whatsoever, just “candid” natural moments?

  • Honestly, sometimes the candid moments you see start with a pose or prompt. At events there are many candid unposed moments, but at the end of the day many people think they want unposed all together but then are upset if people are not looking or smiling or in the shot. We will try to get all the moments we can in from posed to less posed and “candid.”

• What is your editing style? Do you edit every image? Can you change my body? What about face swaps?

  • This may be my number one all time question. I aim to keep you and the moments real, but additional editing can be requested and we can see what is doable! I want you to love yourself in your images.

  • I edit every image you receive for color, contrast and exposure. Sometimes you receive 100s of images. If it’s in your package, you can choose XX amount for extra editing and retouching enhancement.

  • I do not edit with filters or make them look like an instagram filter. I want you to look back at your images and see how beautiful and amazing you were and not wonder why you were orange just because that was the fad of the week.

• Are you and your family fully vaccinated?

  • Yes

  • And I am Vaccinated for Covid and also had Covid 2x.
